Week 3 EOC: The Deeper Meaning of "Swingers" (The Movie)

The exterior meaning of swingers is a humorous, love story about a man who recently got out of a break up and is trying to get his feet wet again. He moves to Las Vegas from New York with his buddy and decides to do some networking. He comes with the assumption that if he moves far away from New York he can get over his break up and get some solid gigs in his career as a comedian. The deeper meaning of swinger is his growth. From the time that he decided to move to Las Vegas until the end of the movie, he achieved so much personally. The entire movie was basically an interview. He met three women through out this whole process. As he began to involve him self in parties and mixers, he was very unsure of himself. Kind of like someones first time to an interview. He had no confidence. He didn't know how to talk about him self. Not talk about him self in a conceded way, but more in a way to where he gains interest in who he is talking to. As the movie went on, he began to gain his confidence. Finally after being rejected several times, he had a successful encounter. He met a lady in a bar, approached and began to strike conversation. This time he knew what to say, without making something up. He was real with him self, and wasn't ashamed of it. This women he spoke to saw that in him and was very interested. She turned out to be someone that can help him in his professional field and also someone he fell in love with. So the deeper meaning of this is learning how to engage, people with confidence, so that they can gain interest in you. You don't want to let an opportunity pass you be without you knowing its there. Practicing these techniques, will allow you to be successful, in almost any professional situation.

                                                        

Week 2 EOC: Profile Statements

Profile Statement 1
1. To become part of a team, that can utilize my skills and achieve growth within your business. This will ultimately allow my self to succeed in strengthening my reputation as a dependable, consistent, sound engineer in the audio industry. I expect nothing but pristine quality as a finished product.

Profile Statement 2
2. To use my skills and apply the techniques that I possess towards the job duties that your company requires me to do. This will allow me to advance skillfully, ultimately allowing more opportunities for myself within your company to advance in position.

Profile Statement 3
3.  To apply the skills that I've obtained and use them to meet your job responsibilities, contributing to the growth within your company. I would also share my professional experiences with my colleagues, and keep current with today's recording techniques, hardware and software.

                                                               

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

My Voice (Web Portfolio)
I get to be creative working as an engineer and producer. I use these skills and gear them towards
my clients who on a daily basis. I approach my projects with the intention to create an experience for the audience, and to keep my clients satisfied in the work I do. I enjoy the reaction and emotion that I get to witness from the audience. When I’m in the studio, I like to surround myself with people who are emotionally involved in the project. I’m used to keeping up my guard when I’m out the studio, but when I’m creating music or sound designing, I no longer feel the need to do that. I get to bring myself to a vulnerable state, and when I’m in that state I seem to be at my best as an artist and multi media professional. I have studied at the Art Institute of Las Vegas obtaining a Bachelors of Science majoring in Audio Production. I use these skills now mathematically, acoustically, and scientifically in my daily procedures.With these skills I allow my music to reach a higher ground in quality maintaining a self‐reputable brand for myself.

Elevator Introduction
I’m a sound engineer, and enjoy applying my techniques towards music production and sound design. I spend hours daily mixing and editing, knowing that it ultimately creates nothing but progress for me in bringing my final work to its highest standard in quality. I truly enjoy the art of mixing, mastering and sound design.

Objective statement/profile statement
To become part of a team, that can utilize my skills and achieve growth within your business ultimately allowing my self to succeed in strengthening my reputation as a dependable, passionate, consistent, producer and sound engineer in the audio industry expecting nothing but prestine quality as a finished product.
